17 all-season, blackwall tires^Discover the roads less traveled. Tahoe^® LS and LT come equipped with P265/70R17 all-season, blackwall tires. They are not available with the Z71^® Off-Road Suspension Package on LT.

17 full-size steel spare wheel^Every Tahoe^® comes standard with a 17 full-size spare. The sturdy steel wheel is paired with a P265/70R17 tire.

<p>This Hydra-Matic^&reg; 6-speed transmission's gearbox help create a wider gear ratio spread, enhancing real-world fuel economy on the highway via reduced engine speed. Also, quietness in the interior is enhanced with the lower-rpm engine speed on the highway.</p><p>The driver-selectable Tow/Haul mode provides greater driver control and towing performance in certain conditions, such as steep grades. When engaged, shift schedules are optimized so that the system locks the torque converter earlier to minimize heat gain and to take greater advantage of engine braking when vehicle is traveling downhill.</p>

The 4-wheel antilock disc brakes (ABS) on Tahoe^&reg; are standard. ABS is designed to help keep the vehicle's wheels rotating as the brakes assist the driver in achieving a controlled stop. Once activated, all four wheel ABS sensors monitor wheel rotation. Based on continual sensor monitor feedback, they repeatedly release and apply pressure to the brakes, helping to eliminate wheel lockup while retaining driver steering ability.

The 6-way power front passenger seat in Tahoe^&reg; lets your co-pilot get comfortable. The bottom cushion adjusts at the touch of a button, moving forward, back, up, down or tilting fore and aft; the manual recline feature also helps your passenger tailor the seating preference even further.<br /><br />On LS, this feature is standard with front bucket seats only. Front-mounted halogen fog lamps on Tahoe^&reg; are integrated and slightly recessed into the color-keyed front fascia for a more streamlined appearance and added protection from road debris. <br /><br />On LS, this feature requires available Texas Edition or Regional Value Package.

When you want to take the high road, 4x4 Tahoe^&reg; models can help you get there from here. Engage automatic Autotrac^&reg; 4x4 mode when road surface traction conditions are variable. As conditions warrant, Tahoe will return to 2-wheel drive. Manually engage 4x4 on a full-time basis when you need it most. <br /><br />This feature requires a 3.08 rear axle ratio. It is not available on 2WD models or with the Heavy-Duty Trailering Package. With this transfercase the vehicle will not have a neutral position for dinghy towing.
